GUITAR LESSONS FOR BEGINNERS
Our beginner guitar students of all ages have a blast playing songs while learning how to read standard and tab notation, play melodies and chords, and improvise. All our students are highly encouraged to bring recordings of their favorite songs, band, or players to learn their favorite songs. Method books are typically supplemented to ensure a well-rounded musical development.
GUITAR FOR EXPERIENCED STUDENTS
Our experienced students start tackling more complicated, rewarding songs while focusing on expanding technique and theory and learning to transcribe. These students have typically graduated from their beginning method books and are starting to learn more complex pieces of music. Our music teachers work with students to develop a customized lesson plan that works for them.
Whether students want to learn a new style, improve on their fingerpicking or soloing, get good enough to join a band, or just keep playing for fun, we have the skills and experience to get them there.
Expressions Music Academy offers lessons in piano, guitar, ukulele, voice, drums, violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, trumpet, tuba, and trombone as well as an early childhood program for ages 3-6 called Animal Adventures in Music. Enrollment is month-to-month - no long-term contracts. Our students work with amazingly patient, fun, and experienced/credentialed instructors, track their progress and earn rewards with our popular 10-level based achievement program, and enjoy performing in our free, inspiring recitals in our own state-of-the-art concert hall. Oh, and don’t worry about schedule conflicts. Our students enjoy an unbelievably flexible, convenient, unlimited make-up lesson system.
